The Builder
I'm Mason.
I live in Highland, Michigan, where I remodel homes, build custom woodworking projects, and document the entire process along the way.
I started creating build plans because I wanted to help people enjoy the building process, whether they're picking up a drill for the first time or they've been building their whole life. Everyone starts somewhere, and having a clear plan can make the difference between feeling overwhelmed and feeling confident. My goal is to give you the same plans I trust in my own projects, with the details and measurements that make the process straightforward and enjoyable.
My engineering background has shaped the way I build. I pay attention to the details, I like understanding why something works, and I'm always looking for a better way to do the job. I don't claim to know everything, but I'm always learning. When I make a mistake, I share it, because those lessons are often just as valuable as the finished project.
Every plan in my shop comes from something I've actually built in my own home or for a client. They're real projects that have been tested, refined, and organized so you can spend less time guessing and more time building something you're proud of.
